We’ve seen it for the new iPhones, we’ve been impressed by it and maybe a little jealous of all our friends with iPhones because of it. But now, we’re going to see Android phones with the fingerprint scanner as well. So most of us won’t be jealous for much longer.
According to reports, it’ll probably be in the early months of 2014 that we see these devices rolling out. The people responsible for making this happen is the FIDO group.
The FIDO group is an alliance of 48 technological companies. These guys are the ones working on a new technological standard for biometric scanners to be available on Android devices. So we don’t have to wait for too long. It’s nice to see that Apple won’t be the only ones with all the fancy stuff.
